So last night I was gonna make spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. They are these really good chicken meatballs that I made once when we lived in Jersey, and we both remember them being SO good so I was excited to make them. Well, of course I had to make something on the side and I'm obsessed with having all the dishes finish at the exact same time so it's all hot and ready to go at the same time. So I had to get some sauteed mushrooms and onions going, butter and get my garlic bread ready to go in the oven, while I was geting the meatballs going. Well, I finished my meatballs, and had them simmering in the spaghetti sauce, yada yada yada, everything was looking and smelling great. Well, everything did finish at the same time (I gave a little fist pump!) and we started eating. And the meatballs were like so disgusting! And I was like What the heck??!?! And then I started busted up laughing and told Brian that there were a total of six ingredients and I forgot to put in three of them! (and of course the three that give them all the flavor haha!) He couldn't believe it! He was like--come on Mare, almost every meal you forget one or two, but THREE!?! To defend myself, I was trying to explain to him the science and art of having everything finish at the same time and how even though the recipe was RIGHT in front of my face the entire time, it gets a little stressful when you have to much going on at one time! And of course me being me I was like--Forget you! You can make your own freakin food! Yes, I will admit I can get a little defensive when I put this much love and effort into a dish for my boo! Anywho, I actually can make a decent meal every once in a while, and rather than letting this get me down, I'm just gonna move on and attempt to successfully make fajitas tonight! So let me give a HOLLA to all the housewive's out there trying to put good meals on the table everynight! I hope you are more successful than I am :)

Oh my poor little sissy poo...I do want the recipe though :)
Austin used to get mad at me because I never taste-test anything before serving it. It is just confidence! :) He doesn't even ask anymore, he just knows. Most of the time dinner tastes great.
