"OH my goodness, am I dreaming? This can't be real! There's no way I'm looking at a new post from Mary!" Well ladies, you are not dreaming, this is the real deal! I'm finally getting around to blogging and let's just say I've got some catching up to do since July whatever it was! This might be a little long, so don't worry about reading it! But here are a few of the exciting things that have happened lately...
Meeting the Mailman Karl Malone!
I work at the Home Depot and back in August a friend that I worked with was telling me that his daughter is the receptionist at Karl Malone's dealership in Sandy and that he was having a birthday party that night and told me that we should go. Well, knowing that Brian is the biggest Jazz freak in the universe and that Karl Malone and John Stockton are his two favorite players ever, I figured this might be pretty fun! So we went and let's just say it was obvious that we really probably shouldn't have been there. It was only his family and very closest friends that were at the party....and us :) It was kind of funny! But when we first got there we were looking around everywhere for him, and finally we saw him come out of a room, walk right past us and into the bathroom. Yes that's right, I heard Karl Malone pee haha! My heart was beating so fast, I was so excited! I had actually seen Karl Malone just like a foot away from me, and let me tell you, he was HUUUUUUGE! Then, we tried to just go hang out in the lobby for a bit and see if he'd come out so we could talk to him and possible get a picture with him. A few minutes later, he did come out and shook our hands and talked to us for a bit, it was so cool and it was so cute because Brian seriously looked like a giddy little school boy! Probably because he was haha. Anyway, unfortunately we didn't get a picture because it really was just an intimate little party for his family and good friends so we didn't want to spoil his birthday night by being annoying fans. But we definitely snatched a green balloon in memory of that night and I got a few pics of his cool memorabilia. It was a super fun night! Especially for the hubby, I'm pretty sure I just crossed something off his bucket list. Yay for hookups at the Home Depot! Woot Woot!
Getting our Golf on
One time we went golfing together this summer, but since I'm like the world's worst golfer, I just followed and watched him and hit a couple here and there. The funny thing was, we weren't going to go because it was supposed to rain, but we went and tried to hurry. Well, on the second to last hole, it started POURING! And I mean seriously poring! So Brian just told me to run back to the car and he'd finish and come back. So I sprinted and probably looked like a huge fool and I didn't get too wet but when he came back, he was seriously drenched all the way threw but of course told me it was well worth it because he had an amazing shot on the last hole. So the last picture just shows how wet he was, if you can even tell.
Weddings!
Well this summer by best friend from high school Jessica Mitchell got married. So I was able to go to her luncheon after the wedding and it was so beautiful! Everyone in their family is so talented. And of course she was just GORGEOUS in her dress! And it was especially fun because I got to see my other two best friends from my senior year, Cara VanTassell and Brianna Hansen. This was the first time we've all been together since graduation so I miss them so much!

This is Jess and me at her shower in Taylorsville
And then our good friends Ryan and Erika Huff got married. We just love those two, they are so much fun! They got a house out in Syracuse, which is pretty far from where we live so we don't get to see them very much :(
