a COMPLETE 180!

Well one thing that you will learn about Brian and I today is that we love change. We are always up for trying new things, even if it is a little scary. For some people a big change is getting a funky new haircut, or moving the couch to a different spot in the room, but not for us. For us a change is planning on being in Texas the whole summer and moving back after two weeks with no jobs to come home to, Brian getting a new job/potential career, me going back to the Home Depot, but this time in the Paint Department, getting and trying to potty train a cute new puppy, training for a half marathon, and looking to buy a house. It's been a CRAZY two months, but it is all very exciting at the same time! So now since I have so much catching up to do I think I'll go into depth a little about some of these things...

Running

So when Brian and I were engaged, we kind of got into this competition to get fit for our wedding where we saw who could run the most miles per week and the loser had to choose what we did on our dates that weekend, or something stupid like that. I started running like 4 or 5 miles per day, which was amazing because I had NO idea my body could do that! But that sparked a new passion of mine, which is running. I now LOVE to run and my goal is to run like 10 marathons in my life--I think that would be so cool! But, I've got to start somewhere, so I'm going to be running in the Spanish Fork half marathon in September--I'm so excited! So I've been busy training for that big boy and have really enjoyed getting up and running in the mornings.

Buying a home

So looking for a home is absolutely nuts! It is a way time-consuming process, but it will be so worth it to finally be out on our own and in our own place. So after TONS of searching, we found some that we think would be awesome. One of which is actually in Saratoga Springs, which is a little bit far, but we really love it out there. It has awesome view of the big mountains and Utah Lake, so it is beautiful! Here is a picture of what it looks like on the outside, and hopefully it could be ours soon and I will be able to show you the inside! :)

Boris the Brave

Here are a couple of pictures of Boris, our new puppy. I won't post too many because I don't want to bore you, but he's been a ton of fun! He's a pain to try and potty train, but I think we're finally maybe getting somewhere!

This was the first night we got him. My nieces love him!

He sure is a little guy!

These next two pictures just kind of show how much he's grown in just a couple weeks. As you can tell in the second picture, he's gotten quite a bit hairier and his cute little ears stick up now

Of course I had to get him a cute outfit! It's a little green hoodie :) And Brian won't admit it but he thinks it's cute, even though he gave me so much crap for buying a dog an outfit
We love Boris--he is such a cute, fun dog!

I'm getting a Yorkie!!!!!

I'm so excited to announce that I'm getting a Yorkie in like 2 weeks! I've always loved Yorkies and Brian finally told me a couple days ago that I could get a puppy since I have so much time this summer to train it and stuff. So the search was on the minute after he told me this. I became obsessed and was checking ksl and craig's list every like 30 minutes! We really really both want an English Bulldog, but they are WAY too expensive for us right now, so that'll probably be our next dog, which will be fun. But I finally came across some Yorkies for a good price on KSL and when I clicked on it, the lady was actually from Burley, so that works out nice. My dad and sister Stacy will be bringing him out in just over two weeks and it can't come soon enough! I'm so excited for my new puppy! Here's a picture of him--he's the smaller one...

TEXAS!

Well, we made it! And we now officially live in Amarillo, Texas! I definitely NEVER thought that I'd ever say those words but I'm actually pretty excited about it. I'll post pictures from the ride down and stuff and I have SO much catching up to do with what we've been up to in the past month or so (I'm seriously the worst blogger-I love to look at other people's blogs but struggle to post on mine!) But I'm going to have tons of time to be good this summer because while Brian is out selling everyday, I'll either be at home chillin' with nothing to do, or being the office girl, and still probably not have too much to do :) Anyway, last night we went out to dinner at Outback with some couples in the office and I seriously could not believe what thick accents they have here...I absolutely did not think it was possible to say Ya'll that many times but it absolutely is! I was laughing because I think we went to areas with completely opposite accents, last year being New Jersey and this year Texas and then there is me with my neutral little Snake River Dialect one, which is obviously the best! Hope everyone is having a good week!

First Anniversary! Wahoo!

So I know it's taken forever to post this but I wanted to tell a little about our first anniversary date. I was the one in charge of it and I really wanted it to be fun. I kept trying to think of creative things to do and I finally decided it would be fun to reinact our first date, and it sure was! So it's kind of funny because Brian and I started hanging out a couple weeks before our first date just giggling and flirting and what not, and he finally asked me out. Then like the day before that he called and said he forgot it was his sister's birthday and so he had to cancel. And I was like-what kind of fool forgets his sister's birthday? haha, so I was like--whatev, he doesn't want to go out with me anymore. But he called and rescheduled for this date and I was way giddy! So first, we went to this place called the Happy Factory and made cars for poor kids in Africa that can't afford toys. Well, Brian took 2 of them (shame on him!) for a little momento. We've always said that we should paint our cars randomly one night but we never did so we did this first. I made this all a surprise and just typed in the GPS where we were gonna go and made him go there. We went to this park first and got out all our stuff, but then there were too many dang bums staring weirdly at us so we went to another park. We painted the cars and he still didn't get what I was up to until I busted out a green Irish hat and started doing a jig to represent the second part of our date, which was a bagpipe concert. That was really cool to go to. So we did a little dance, got a couple pics and then headed off to dinner. Here are some pics and videos to show our fun evening together!...

I just wanted to show how perfect I am in everything I do! This is after I painted the black wheels without any touch ups...

This is after Brian painted the wheels--SUCKA!
The finished products...oh ya, you know you'd choose the Barbie van on racing day!

My Irish jig!

And the last part of the date was dinner where we went the first time which is at a wonderful Italian restaurant downtown called Buca di Beppo. It was delicious!

This was posted right outside. I was like-Are ya kidding me?! Haha!
There were pictures like these and one's with cleavage galore all throughout the restaurant it was kind of weird! I guess Italian women just aren't afraid to show their bodies! :S

It was such a fun night! I'm so happy to be married to Brian! This has truly been the best year of my life and I'm so blessed to have such an awesome husband! Love your buns Schmoopsie! :)
